Installation, Restoration, Repairs

I have a passion for restoring old floors to new beauty. First I begin by evaluating the floor and consulting with the customer. Most often, the next step will be to sand the floor and from there apply a lustrous new finish that will last for years. Repairing dents, cracks and other imperfections that exist comes next. Lastly, which is my favorite part of the process, is to consult with the customer to create a custom blended finish that harmonizes with the existing décor. I use a high quality water based finish that will last for many years.

New Floor Installation

New floor installation is available with my company. We have a professional carpenter/wood floor installer working with me. I personally have installed hundreds of wood floors since 1982.
The sanding and finishing of new floors is always done by Bruce Johnson.

Repairs

Repairs are sometimes needed in restorations. One of the ways I do this is by cutting out and lacing in new boards where needed. This often entails replacing the boards with antique wood or a comparable product that will ensure there are no obvious repairs.

Restoration

Restoring existing floors is my specialty. Sanding and restoring a floor is the bulk of my work. Every floor has its own special requirements, and I adapt to each one as I go. I use the very best water-based professional finishes available in the industry. Not only are these finishes three
times tougher than traditional oil polyurethanes, but they are also much lower in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) making them more environmentally friendly.

Bona Power Scrubber

My company has invested in the Bona Power Scrubber. This machine deep cleans hardwood floors beautifully. It is especially effective in cleaning commercial floors such as dining halls, and other heavily trafficked spaces. The Bona Power Scrubber is also a wax and contaminant stripper which is used before re-coating a polyurethane floor.
