I have lived in Bloomington for 30 years and there are many skilled craftsman; painters, roofers, cabinet makers, etc. But if you need a hardwood floor repaired and refinished there is only one choice--Bruce Johnson. Bruce has a unique combination of technical understanding and aesthetic feel. His finished floors look and wear better than any others--anyone who has used him will attest to that. He does not sub-contract but does all the work himself. In short if you need hardwood floor work this is the best guy in town. Don't waste your time anywhere else.

“Customized stain color”

We were remodeling our circa 1910 home and we removed the old carpet and discovered the original flooring was quarter cut oak. It had many pet stains and other wear and tear from age. We didn't know if it was salvageable or not. A friend mentioned Bruce Johnson had redone his floor and was very satisfied. When we contacted Bruce he evaluated our floor and presented a very reasonable price for refinishing the floor. He did an excellent job of sanding the floor to remove the imperfections and customized the stain color to cover the pet stains and still preserve the natural look of the quarter cut oak along with replacing several boards. We have been very satisfied with Bruce's work and everyone that enters our home comments on the beautifully original hardwood floors!
